Would you like to attend a friendly holiday gathering with great food and nice people?
Then make plans to join the Vegetarian Society of Georgia at our annual *Humane Thanksgiving* potluck dinner on Sunday, November 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist of Metro Atlanta North church in Roswell.
This is a great way to get to know others in the area who enjoy humane and healthy foods, to try something new, or to get some great recipe ideas for Thanksgiving Day if you're celebrating with family later in the week.
All you need to do is bring a vegan (no meat, eggs or dairy) entree, side dish, salad or dessert to feed 8-10 people. Beverages, utensils and linens will be provided. The event is open to everyone, and we encourage vegetarians to bring non-vegetarians so they can see just how delicious meat-free meals can be!
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12, payable at the door. We would appreciate a reply by Nov. 19 telling us what you plan to bring (and no, you don't have to make it yourself).

If you do bring something homemade, please bring a dozen or so copies of the recipe if you'd like to exchange with other guests.

Spicy Thai is located in the small strip mall with the Pizza Hut, across the street (McIntosh Road) from Walmart. They have around eight vegetarian entrees listed on their menu, and they are happy to accommodate special orders. |

(Spicy Thai, the location we originally announced, is closed for lunch on Saturday, but Hunan was just around the corner in the same shopping complex. They have a separate room that was perfect for our group. Hunan already offers numerous choices and are always happy to accommodate special requests. In this case, they gave us the usual outstanding service! |
